The Walking Dead 02x02 Uh oh, what happened here? Remember last week when it seemed like this show was going to pull itself together and deliver some quality zombie fare for this season? Try not to remember that because this show is SO DUMB AGAIN! Also, in my mind I keep the defending the writing because I love the comics so much but nope, this dialogue could not feel any more forced (also thanks to the awkward acting) and it’s making me rethink why I even like the comics in the first place. The exchange between Alan and black guy (sorry) in front of the RV was just completely painful. YOU’RE KILLING ME, THE WALKING DEAD. Here are some reasons this episode was dumb. Firstly remember “YOU’RE KILLING US!!!” from when they were gonna die at the CDC last season? Hopefully because it made Grimes yelling your “YOU’RE KILLING HIM!!!” at the vet trying to save Carl’s stupid life that much more fantastic. Carl was acting so hard during that scene too, he probably deserves his booth as Philadelphia Comic Con for that; a thing that exists, I saw it.  Also stupid was Andrea getting attacked by a “walker” (of course) and the lady on the horse came out and smashed it with a baseball bat. Alan getting a guitar because maybe Glen plays guitar. What? Racist guy having all of the antibiotics from his dead racist brother on the handlebars of his motorbike; “why didn’t you guys just ask about my secret motorbike drug storage? Duh”.  I was going to recap this entire episode but it would have hurt my brain too much. Obviously I’m going to keep watching this show because of zombies (!!!) but I’m kind of losing faith it will ever become something more than dumb fun.
